Pune News: Timely Intervention Saves Young Woman From Suicide At Sinhagad Fort

Concerned citizens, including Swapnil Sambre, Rahul Jorkar, Datta Jorkar, Srikanth Langhi, and Deepak Jorkar, discreetly followed her as she walked towards Kalyan Darwaja. They alerted Forest Division Officer Saadhan Patil, villager Tanaji Bhosle, and Police Patil Nilesh Chavan, who then informed Haveli Police.

A team led by Assistant Police Inspector Dilip Shinde, along with forest officials and citizens, quickly responded to the situation. They sensitively approached the woman, understood her concerns, and escorted her to safety.

“The collective efforts of everyone involved saved a precious life today,” said Police Inspector Sachin Wangde, in charge of Haveli Police Station. “We are grateful for the timely intervention.”

The woman was taken to the police station, where officers communicated with her and contacted her parents. She was reunited with her family in the evening.

This incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and prompt response in preventing suicidal incidents.
