Woman in Gujarat’s Navsari dies from excessive bleeding after intercourse, partner reportedly spent hours seeking online remedies: Report

The girl eventually fainted and the man called his friend. He also cleaned the blood stains in the hotel room, according to the police. The girl was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, where she was pronounced dead.

Navsari MP Sushil Agarwal told TOI, “The forensic report stated she died due to excessive bleeding. Instead of calling 108 or medical assistance, he contacted friends and transferred her in a private vehicle after waiting for them. Had she received medical assistance with IV fluids, blood and medicines, she would have survived.”

The boyfriend reportedly called the woman’s parents while on his way to the hospital, but she was already dead when they arrived. Jalalpore police booked the man for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and destruction of evidence

According to police reports, the woman, a nursing graduate, began to bleed heavily from her genital area during intercourse and lost consciousness. Despite her critical condition, her partner did not seek immediate medical help. By the time she was taken to the hospital, she had already passed away.

A postmortem examination revealed that the cause of death was severe bleeding resulting from a significant injury to her genital region during the incident. The police have arrested her boyfriend for negligence, charging him under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and Section 238 (causing evidence to disappear) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation into the case is ongoing.
