How to Outline Text in Gimp
So, here we are going to learn that how to outline text in gimp. So, you need to create a new project. And we are going to make it 500px as its width and 300px as height. Click on ok.
Now we are going to make a new layer, hit ok. After that, go to the “Text” tool. Choose blue colour as shown in the video.
Choose the size 210 PX, Go to canvas and take the moving tool. The “Text” you edition on the GIMP, take it to the middle.
Now, you need to go to the layer dialogue, then you need to click on the “Text” layer. Right-click on the “Text” button. After that, click on the “Alpha to selection”
Then Go to the “Select” option in the menu bar, after that scroll down and choose, Grow.
In the grow selection by, choose 5px, hit the ok button. Make a new layer, And drag it underneath the text layer.
So, now you have the clean outline text. Black outline and Blue in the middle.
So, this way you can beautifully outline the text.
